Why is a Smart Technique needed?
The reasons are very simple:
- The MHT CET syllabus is vast
- There are many mistakes students make while Revising or Preparing for the MHT CET
- There are many myths about Revision in the student’s mind
- If not managed well, MHT CET preparation can go out of hand
So, let us now have a look at each of the rules that you need to follow to Revise and complete the MHT CET Syllabus in time.
#1: You only Study Once
This rule implies that you don’t have the time to study all chapters again and again as the syllabus for MHT CET is vast. You will only get the time to study or learn a chapter once, that is when it is being taught in your college or classes. If you give your hundred per cent while studying a chapter for the first time, you will drastically reduce the number of revisions needed before final exams. Make sure that you clear all your doubts straight away when studying the chapter for the first time.
When studying any chapter for the first time, study with complete concentration. Studying with complete concentration will ensure that you remember the concepts for much longer. Remember, you won’t get a lot of chances and time for revision. Thus, it is important to make the most out of the very first time you study any chapter.

#2 Never Ever Enter the Loop of Revision
The loop of revision is a trap that almost all MHT CET aspirants fall into. Many students think that they need to revise every chapter again and again to remember all the concepts and formulae. However, you need to remember that there will never be enough time and you will never be satisfied with your revision, no matter how many times you do it.
So, never enter this trap. Instead, follow Rule #3
#3 The Smart Revision Technique
The Steps are straightforward to understand & follow. Here is how you should revise for MHT CET:
- Give your hundred per cent while studying the chapter for the first time.
- Go on to solve MCQs. Pick up medium and difficult-level MCQs that will test you to your limits.
- After solving each MCQ, check the answer and go through the solutions. If you get an answer wrong, find out why you couldn’t solve the question, find out what topic that question was asked from, find out what you didn’t know, and find out what concepts the question was based on.
- Once you have the answers to the above questions in step 3, Now go back to your textbook or reference book and study that particular concept only.
In this way, we selectively revise various concepts while giving more time to practising MCQs rather than the time spent revising the whole chapter.
Should I start solving MCQs if I am not thorough with the Chapter?
Definitely!
That is also why we advised you to study the chapter thoroughly on the first attempt. Once that is done, you are good to go about solving MCQs.
Many students think that if they have revised and learned the chapter thoroughly, they will get all the MCQs correct. This is a myth. In order to start getting your MCQs correct, you will have to go through a lot of failed attempts at solving difficult MCQs. That is why, as soon as you have studied the chapter once, you should move on to attempt MCQs.
