Eligibility Criteria for NEET
The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years and should not be more than 25 years as on or before 31st December 2019.
The Students from SC, ST and PwD category are given a relaxation of 5 years.
The NEET application form for 2018 will be available online on the official website of NEET by December.
The application fee for the exam is listed below :

Procedure to Submit Application Form:
- Visit the official website of the respective authority.
- Find the link to ‘apply online’ and click the same.
- Read the important instructions and complete first part of your application which is online registration.
- After successfully completion of the online registration, please note down the registration number.
- Once you fill and submit the online application form, you’ll be automatically redirected to fee payment page.
- Choose the mode of payment and make necessary payment.
- Candidates who haven’t received their online generated confirmation page their applications will be treated as cancelled.
The exam is pen and paper based. It is available in English or Hindi (chosen during application). The exam is made up of 180 multiple choice questions with a single option correct for duration of 3 hours (10 AM to 1PM).
- Physics : 45 Questions (180 marks)
- Chemistry : 45 Questions (180 marks)
- Zoology : 45 Questions (180 marks)
- Botany : 45 Questions (180 marks)
Marking Scheme : +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect answer.
Separate merit list will be prepared and declared by the CBSE according to the direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, DGHS, MCI and DCI. After declaration of the result an All India merit list gets prepared by the Central Board of Secondary Education according to the eligibility conditions of Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.

Candidates who have qualified in the test will further need to attend the counselling process. Online counselling is going to be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services. Candidates need to attend the counselling procedure according to their rank in the merit list. Counselling schedule will be updated to you soon after release of its official notification.
