One-word substitutes are a common topic asked in Verbal Aptitude Tests.  This topic tests your vocabulary and understanding of different words. You need a good vocabulary to ace this topic.

In a One-word substitute, the question contains a sentence or bunch of words. You need to be able to identify one word which explains the sentence or bunch of words accurately. Let us see a few examples.
