What is Verbal Analogy
Verbal Analogy means the correlation between a pair of words. If there is a correlation between first two words, the same relationship should be present between the next two words.
Let us see a few examples:
Pupil : Mentor :: Child : Parent
Here, the Mentor is superior to the pupil and guides the pupil. Similarly, the Parent is superior to the child and guides the child.
Up : Down :: Hot : Cold
The opposite of Up is Down, similarly the opposite of Hot is Cold.
Night : Day :: Conclusion : Introduction
The night is the end of the day, while the day is the beginning of it. Similarly, the Conclusion is the end while the introduction is the beginning.
