How to actually get Addicted to Studies

We all have been addicted to some or the other distractions instead of studying. We know how addictive our distractions can be. But what if studies could be equally addictive? Your academic life would transform overnight. You would no longer procrastinate on your studies. You would no longer have the fear and anxiety of exams. It is a dream come true for any student. So, Let us see how to get addicted to studies in this blog post with a few easy steps.

Please Note: People who are addicted to studies should also know how to balance out with other fun activities. This article aims to help you improve one aspect of life: your studies.

Here are some simple tips to make studying addictive:

Focus on the Process. Not the end-Result

Most students set their goals based on the results or outcomes. They set goals keeping only the final result in mind. They conveniently overlook the hard work in the process and get disappointed as soon as they realize this. Hence, you must cherish the process that will get you to your goal. You need to fully accept the work you must put in to achieve your goal. You need to like/love the process that goes behind learning and studying.

Start Slow & Small

When you sit down to study, try to start with simple or small tasks. Pick up thee low-hanging fruits – the easier tasks and complete them first. Once you have completed the easy tasks, you will be all set to tackle more difficult tasks.

Develop Love for Learning

You need to learn to love to Learn!

Love for learning is the single biggest factor that will help you to get addicted & obsessed with studies. It is one of those things that helps you get up early in the morning and doesn’t let you sleep till late night! Love for studies will help you to focus more on studies. Also, It will make you feel like studying more. Being studious is more than just studying a lot – it’s about getting into a mindset that allows you to be excited about gaining knowledge.

Commitment. Discipline. Consistency.

Getting addicted to studies, is all about commitment, discipline and consistency. You need to commit to your study goals. You need to have the discipline to keep a tab on your other activities. Discipline is the only way to change your daily habits and lifestyle. You need to commit strongly towards your academic goals. You need to study consistently.

Being studious means being serious about and committed to learning. People who are studious still know how to have fun, but they make their studies a priority and stick to a thorough and comprehensive study plan.

Understand the power of Knowledge

Learning something gives you the power to make something out of it. That is why an old adage says ,”Knowledge is Power”. For example, studying about electric circuits gives you the power to build electrical appliances. There is a lot of power in Learning. You just need to be able to see it. The ability to see benefits of the subjects that you’re learning, has helped many students to increase their learning ability. Those who understand the power of knowledge become powerful ahead in life.

Track your Studies

Everything that is addictive is tracked. Social Media is addictive because you track the number of likes, comments & shares on your posts. You also track your number of friends, followers, connection, etc. These numbers give us a sense of accomplishment and keeps us hooked on to these apps. Anything that is tracked becomes addictive. Hence, you should track your studies and try to check all the boxes as soon as possible. The happiness of seeing your tracker filled with ticked boxes will make you feel addicted to studying. You will feel like completing all your study tasks as soon as possible.
